With all the gallivanting I’ve been doing recently, I figured I should start writing it down somewhere so that I can keep track of what I’ve seen and share all the tips and tricks I’ve learnt along the way.

A little introduction: I’m Holly, I’m 25, from Edinburgh in Scotland and I’ve been living and working in Japan for the last 3 years. I love travelling the world to explore new places, eat new foods and experience new cultures. While running around and trying to see as much as possible, I try to save a bit of money along the way by doing some research on each destination and finding the most efficient ways to get around and enjoy my time there.

I started blogging about my life abroad as a way to keep in touch with my friends and family when I first left home and moved across the world. Since then, I’ve had permanently itchy feet and wanted to explore as much of the world as possible, but without breaking the bank. This means I tend to do a bit of research on how to save some money as I go, and how to experience as much as possible in a relatively short time at each destination. Hollydays is a site where I can share those travel tips with you and keep track of all my adventures!
